This solariser is 14cm long, 7 cm deep and 40 mm high. It is designed for solarising small amounts of placebos with a required colour and its complementary colour. Placebos or sac lac are placed in each compartment. Over one compartment is placed a piece of stained glass in the required colour and over the second compartment the complementary coloured glass is placed. The box is then placed where there is natural daylight. On a sunny day, solarisation takes approximately one hour but on a dull cloudy day it can take up to four hours. Once solarised, the tablets must be placed in a black container to prevent the light diluting the colour.
